Name Cheap Offers Cheap Domain Registration

$9.69 Domain name registration at namecheap.com

If you're looking to register a domain name, consider NameCheap.  With .COM domain registration services starting at $9.69 / year, you can easily secure a domain name, even if you host it elsewhere or simply park it so that no one else can register the name.  What I like about NameCheap is that it's one of the few companies offering .CA registrations at an affordable price.  You can also register .UK domains which few other reliable companies are offering.

NameCheap comes well recommended.  I first heard about the company through one of my clients and I know that Mike Filsaime recommends the service in his resource report.  He uses (or did at the time of publication of his report) NameCheap exclusively for his domain registrations.  That's a pretty strong endorsement in my books.

Consider NameCheap for your next .COM or .CA domain registration.  You won't be disappointed.

On Becoming Fearless by Ariana Huffington

I stumbled across this book on a blog forum in which I participate.  It looks very interesting - I just ordered my copy.  Will have my personal review once I've read it but for the moment, here's the book description that sold me:

A manifesto for women on how to overcome fear and achieve their dreams, from Arianna Huffington, a woman who embodies fearlessness–bestselling author, politician, mother, Web entrepreneur, and one of the most powerful women in America.

Women confront fear every day: fear for their children, fear of appearing foolish, of being assertive, of looking fat, of getting sick, of going broke, of losing love.  Enter Arianna Huffington, with timely and powerful advice on how to be bold.  Arianna is fearless, but not by nature; she's had to learn and practice all her life.

In ON BECOMING FEARLESS, she puts it all on the table, exploring fearlessness at work, in parenting, in love, in aging, and much more.  It's never too early–or too late–for women to learn fearlessness, and ON BECOMING FEARLESS will strike a chord with every woman who wonders how she can make her mark on a world that still values "nice," "accommodating," and "team player" as feminine qualities.

I've got my copy - get yours today!

Efulfillment Service Helps You Ship Products Easily

eFulfillment Service is the order fulfilment company I use most often.  Many of my clients use their service to ship their physical products.  Their service is quite easy to use and the support staff is fantastic if you get stuck and need help with formatting a CSV file from your shopping cart system to their system.

Their prices are reasonable.  They have a base fee of $69.95 and then fees based on how many orders you process in a month.  For example, if you process under 1,000 orders per month, you'll be charged $1.85 per order plus $0.40 per item in the order.  So let's say you have four items on your order.  You would be charged $1.85 plus $1.60 ($0.40 per item times 4) for a total $3.45 plus the shipping UPS or USPS shipping charges.

They also have optional services such as sorting and bundling items together, labeling and repacking.  These services are available at a rate of $35 per hour.

Consider eFulfillment Services for your product fulfillment services.  You can find them online at http://www.efulfillmentservice.com

PayLoadz Is A Great Solution For Small Publishers

Not everyone needs to have the full-service shopping cart.  If you're a small publisher or if you prefer to use PayPal to accept payments, then PayLoadz is the solution for you.

Their automated service delivers your downloadable products to your customers instantly after payment.  The system operates using PayPal's online payment system.  I've used the service and it's easy to setup and a cinch to get started.

It's a great option for musicians too.  My brother has his own band, Lucid, and they sell digital downloads of their songs on PayLoadz

Casting Words Transcription

Need a teleclass or Q&A session transcribed?  Transcribing a class that you've lead is one of the fastest and easiest routes to your first info product (whether it's a free report or sold for profit).

I've used Casting Words with a few of my clients with mixed results.  If the quality of your recording is crystal clear and participants clearly identify who is speaking, then your transcription will be much more accurate.  Also, if your speakers are native English speakers, they will have a greater chance of having their words interpreted correctly.  A lot of clean up has to be done, however, on the final product if you hope to release the product for sale.

They're one of the most affordable services available and their turn-around time is fairly quick (except during high periods - but they do have an expedited service available).  A good option if you just need a call transcribed quickly and plan to edit the materials yourself once they've been transcribed.

To view their rates and order a transcription, visit the Casting Words website.

The eMyth By Michael Gerber

Believe it or not, The E-Myth was the first business book I read and I read it at a critical time in my business - months before I needed to know the difference between working in my business and working on my business.

Many entrepreneurs consider The E-Myth a guide to success for small business owners.

In his book, Gerber discusses each small business has the requirement to fulfill three central roles: the technician, the manager, and the visionary. The technicians of the business are charged with the execution of core tasks that the business performs such as baking a cake (Gerber uses the example of a bakery) or completing the administrative tasks in a service business (bookkeeping, customer service, etc.). Managers in the business are required to direct others in the organization to work effectively as a team. Finally, the visionary, is a critical role in any business to develop a picture of where the business should be in one, five, and ten plus years and plot the course to get there. Essentially, the visionary no longer works in their business (the role of technicians and managers) but evolves to work on their business.

Most entrepreneurs move between all three roles at one point or another in their business - obviously wearing all the hats at the beginning. Gerber posits that more businesses fail because the entrepreneur never makes the move from technician to visionary - never moving beyond working in their business to working on their business.

Any entrepreneur serious about their business growth and longevity should pick up a copy of The E-Myth today!

Accept Online Payments With PayPal

Not everyone can afford a traditional online merchant account.  PayPal is a service that will accept Credit Card payments on your behalf and then they'll send payments directly to your checking account.

With millions of members worldwide, this EBay Company has made it easy for anyone to take payments online.  You can send and receive money with PayPal while saving on the cost of a regular internet merchant account.  I have several clients who also use PayPal to send payments to affiliates rather than mailing them a check.  Almost everyone I know has a PayPal account for their personal buying but I suggest opening a business account to keep your business transactions seperate from your personal paypal purchases and keep your bookkeeping accounts clean.

It has been proven that offering PayPal as a payment option will actually increase sales conversion.  Many online business owners accept PayPal in addition to traditional credit cards because you use PayPal to shop you don’t have to give away all your personal information which makes it appealing to many buyers.

Because PayPal is an eBay company, you can also use it to accept website payments in the place of a traditional shopping cart.  PayPal has many services that are valuable to merchants.
