I just finished watching another of Eben Pagan's informative videos on Information Product based businesses.  He spoke about the concept of standing on the shoulders of giants and using their age-old concepts as the framework on which you can hang your thoughts & ideas.

Eben Pagan posits that by mastering the works of the giants of self-help and personal development you are able to create better information products and personal development tools and programs.
